Jody's accident

Thank you everyone for your prayers!  God has heard and is answering them all.  This is the story of what happened to Jody.  Yesterday Tabby and Jody got Tabby's 2 year old filly out to work on breaking her.  When we got her out Tabby, Jody, and I joined hand and asked God to protect us and to help us with Panara.  Because of that prayer I believe the out come is what it is and not worse.  God work an miracle of grace for our family.  Panara was doing quite well from the beginning.  Tabby rode her while Dad pulled Panara with a different horse.  They took them down to the mud so she would tire out easier.  The Dr. told us last night that if they wouldn't have gone down to the mud and were on the gravel it wouldn't have turned out like it did.  What happened was they put a bridle on Panara, then Jody got on.  Panara freaked out and Jody fell off.  Panara pulled agents the bridle and reared.  She started coming over on Jody.  When Jody saw her coming over, her first instinct was to stop her.  She put her hands up and bent her knees up to brace herself.  But Panara just bent her together.  She landed on her and pushed her legs up flat against her body.  We took her to Ashley ER and they took a cat scan and transferred her to St. Alexius in Bismarck.  Tabby wanted to come up with us to Bismarck but she had to catch a plane to go help a friend move.  So we came up here to Bismarck and at about 6:00 p.m. they took her into surgery.  They had her in surgery for about 2 hours and then in recovery for about 3 hours.  She was really out of it last night when we could see her at 11:00 p.m. ( That's why she looks pretty roughf in the pictures ).  This morning she is feeling a lot better.  She has walked some and they are working with her.  God has blessed us too through auntie Jolene, Brienne, and Brooki.  We are staying at their place and they are amazing!  God is so good.  The Dr. said that if it would have been one more vertebra up she would have been paralyzed.  He said in lots of cases like this they have internal injuries and it could have been bad.  They put 2 rods and 10 pins in her back.  She has 5 vertebra's in her back now that are fused.  But they say that it shouldn't effect her too much because you don't move them too much.  God is so good.  He heard our prayer from the beginning and this is all in His plan for us.  Jody is being a huge witness to her nurses and they like her a lot.  We would appreciate your prayers for Jody to be back to normal soon.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
