Our week

Sorry it's been a little while since I've posted.  It has been so incredibly busy around here though.  These are some pictures from our week.

 On Sabbath Kimber and Tami, and Seth and Joana came down.  Seth and Jojo stayed till Sunday.  We had lots of fun riding horse, eating a picnic in the field, painting rocks with Jojo, and other stuff!
 On Tuesday Jody had a Dr.'s appoinment.  So her and Mom went up to Bismarck and we combined at home.  She texted me at about 10:00 a.m. and was all excited!  The Dr. said she can do whatever she feels comfortable doing.  She doesn't have a weight restriction, and she can play any sports, work out, and do whatever she feels up to doing!  God is so AMAZING!  To think that just 7 weeks and 5 days ago she was in the hospital and was waiting to go into a major back surgery, and now she it  doing most anything already!  We serve an awsome God!
 This week we finished up our soybeans and started our corn.  God has blessed our crops this year,  for the drouth and the little rain we had He has given us a great harvest.

 On Wednesday our aunt Vickie came to vistit.  We had a great 3 days with her!  She was so much fun, and help to have around!  While she was here she helped in the field and helped us move a pasture of cows closer to home.  We moved some cows to another one of our pastures because we have been hauling water to that pasture since June.

 Then today those of us that weren't out in the field stained the deck.

 We have had a beautiful last 2 weeks, the weather was so nice!  It's been in the 80s.  But now it's supose to cool off soon.  They are talking chances of snow by this weekend.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path,

Combining

These are a few of the pictures I took of combining this week.  We are trying to get our Soy Beans off but the stems are green while the pods and beans are dry.  So we're working at it but having to drive slow.

    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

Judith and John

This last week our Cousin Judith and her boyfriend John came down to the farm for a visit.  They are in the U.S from Germany visiting family for a few week.  They were so much fun.  We had a great time for the couple days they were down.  We tried to show them as much as we could about farm life but we didn't have anything to harvest,  and it's slowed down some around here.  We took then out in the tractors and let them drive them at least, we played with the horse,  played basketball, and inside games.  We miss them, they were lots of fun and help to have around.  Also while they were here we covered the silage pile.  You saw them in some of those pictures.  :)

Silage

On Sunday the corn cutters moved in with their big cutter and 3 trucks.  With 3 trucks we were really busy keeping up with packing.  A truck came in about every 5 minutes.  we packed with the 8410 and 8400, while Dad pushed the silage up onto the pile with the loader tractor.  It worked really well.  We took off about 900 ton of silage.  We cut some on Monday and Mom made us all a really big yummy dinner at 2:00 when we where done.   Then Tuesday night we covered it.  We did it a new way.  We covered it with plastic and then spread 8 straw bales on it.  So we had the last 3 days full of silage!
