DAA update

As some of you may know, Jody and I have started school 2nd semester at Dakota Adventist Academy. It is way different then anything we've ever known, but God has blessed us. As hard as it may be at time being away from the farm and family, we feel that God put us at DAA for this chapter in our life. We have been at school for 3 weeks now. Yesterday was the Dakota conference Bible bowl, so it was really great to see Mom, Dad, Janae, and Paul when they came up for that. ( We'll try to get a post up about that soon ) It worked out that we got to come home with them last night and get to spend Sunday at home before starting classes on Monday. Here are a few pictures from DAA.

Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint.

GYC

GYC was amazing!  We had a great trip out and back.  The Lord blessed us with amazing roads!  In around 2750 miles only about 150 of them were a little icy.  The passes were all really good.  We left Wednesday night at 6:30 and picked up Josiah, Colton, and Char in ND and then another friend in Superior MT.  So we had a load of 8 in our suburban!  We stopped in Spokane on Thursday afternoon and spent the night there after a long night of driving.  We rested up and hit the road for Seattle.  We had our first meetings on Friday night and they went till Tuesday noon.

 Our group on the way out.  This is when we stopped in Spokane.

 It was something really different for us ND farm kids to be in a huge city like Seattle!

 We were on the 16th floor of our Hotel.

 The theme for Generation of Youth for Christ this year was Acts: the revolution continues.
 The meetings were really good.  There was around 7,000 people there over the weekend.
 Eating breakfast with some SD friends.  We had about 35 people from North and South Dakota there.
 It was super fun to see Kasondra Reel again ( A good friend from Guam )
 It was super fun to have Mary stay in our room with us.

 We took the Monorail to the Space Needle.  It was a new experience for us!

 A group of us went up the needle and it was really amazing!  You could see mountains that were 4 hours drive away, and were only 40 miles from Canada.

 We had some really great times with friends!

 We walked down to the bay and saw the big fairs wheel and some of our group rode it!

 Sorry some of the pictures are not the best.  We have pictures on 3 iPods, 3 phones, and 3 cameras :)
  Tuesday morning Tabby and Mary ran a GYC 5K race to promote good health 2013.

 On new years eve whoever wanted to gathered in a big room and spent about 2 hours in prayer, praying in the new year.  It was a great way to welcome in 2013.

 On the 1st Janae turned 16 and Colton turned 18 so on our way home we stopped in Spokane and ate a special Birthday supper.
 They sang happy Birthday to them even.
Some of our Dakota group.
