Moving the cows home

Monday morning we were out at sun up catching horses and getting everything loaded to move the cows home for the year.  We loaded the trailer up with 4 horses, the 4-wheeler, and the dirt bike.  We took them the 4 miles about down to our pasture right on the North and South Dakota boarder.  We moved the cows out of the 2 pastures down there and brought them up, and picked up our 3 pastures along the way till we had 5 pastures all run together and moved home.  It all worked really slick!  It was warm yet and the cows were wanting to come home.  We are bringing them home over a month earlier this year.  we've been hauling water to one of our pastures since June already now.  But God has blessed us this year so much for not having much rain.  The cows and calves are all looking really healthy and good.  We pulled the calves off right away when we got them home and are weaning them now.

Jody rode horse with us for the first time since her accident!  We were all really excited!  she really enjoyed it, and she said her back never even bothered her.
